Air India Express Operates a Thank-You Flight

India’s low-cost carrier Air India Express operated a special “thank you” flight for local residents who transferred their land as part of the ongoing Navi Mumbai International Airport project.

With flight IX556, villagers took to the skies and enjoyed a unique experience lasting around 30 minutes.

Many of the residents who gave up their homes and land for the airport construction experienced the excitement of flying for the first time in their lives.

After the flight, a ceremony was held where airline officials thanked the villagers for their sacrifices and presented various gifts.
